Lakewood

Lakewood is the largest city in Jefferson County, incorporated in 1969. Belmar, opened in 2004 on the site of the old Villa Italia mall, is its shopping and dining district. On the west side, William F. Hayden Park on Green Mountain has more than 2,400 acres of trails, and Bear Creek Lake Park has a swim beach, boating and fishing. The W Line light rail runs through town to Denver Union Station. In neighborhoods like Morse Park, many homes date to the 1950s, often on lots over 10,000 square feet.
